Beekeeping consultancy services
Activities
- 🐝 Arranging of hives in the Apiary
- 🐝 Removing absconded hives from the Apiary
- 🐝 Ensuring combs are well built and not cross-combed or damaged
- 🐝 Replacing broken frames
- 🐝 Harvesting honey and if not ready, determining the stage and expected harvest date
- 🐝 Record keeping for tracking the activities of each hive
- 🐝 Checking the presence of pests and diseases in the hives
- 🐝 Checking if each hive has a queen; if not, planning for requeening
- 🐝 Strengthening of the colony and categorizing them as weak, good, very good, and excellent
- 🐝 Combining weak colonies, and if very small, eliminating them
- 🐝 Transferring colonised hives to the Apiary
- 🐝 Treating the floor with pest repellents to prevent pests from accessing the hives
NB: Any other activity such as baiting will attract a fee based on the number of hives baited. The cost of materials will be met by the owner.
